Passion. Dedication. Risk. At that elusive place where talent, determination and opportunity meet, you find Dennis Dubbin. As an accomplished singer and actor his career is well on its way to becoming a dream come true, but this performer takes nothing for granted. "Talent doesn't amount to anything if you don't do something with it" says Dennis.

The evidence of true dedication to his craft is seen in the breadth of his achievements. Appearing in more than 20 theatrical stage productions, singing in 5 languages and performing live on tour with a 100 piece orchestra, Dubbin continually raises the bar vocally, physically and emotionally with each project. It is this dedication that earned him critical acclaim in Germany as Jean Valjean in the Broadway smash hit Les Miserables. It also won him the honour of being the first caucasian John seen by German audiences in Miss Saigon. Following these accomplishments he took on yet another challenge, in his self produced recording project, BLUE.

Throughout his career, Dubbin has put his versatility to the test in many endeavours. As a young man, he toured as a key performer in his family's high energy musical variety show that landed in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Thailand. In Canada, the Dubbins were heard on radio jingles, seen on television and were a hit on stage at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games.

Shortly after, he would enter the world of professional theatre and within 2 years Dennis found himself as part of the Canadian touring company of Les Miserables. His first mega musical staged in Toronto was Miss Saigon in 1994, which was quickly followed by another, when Dennis was hand picked by Pete Townsend to appear in The Who's, Tommy. Some other theatre credits include

Man of La Mancha, directed by Robin Phillips, Passion, Crazy for You, Evita, Grease and I Love You You're Perfect Now Change.

As a soloist or part of an ensemble cast or playing a lead role, his underlying qualities are versatility and adaptability. Dubbin's vocal abilities run the gamut from current pop to the legitimate opera. He has also shown his ability to carry a comedic role to the hilt and deliver a dramatic lead with real depth.

Dubbin's most recent endeavour has been the ultimate dream come true with the launch of his one man show, Music And Passion. "I am forever grateful to all the people in my life who have helped write my 30 year story"! From his early years with the Dubbin Show, to playing the role of Jean Valjean in the German production of Les Miserables. Dubbin has created a show that is more intimate, taking you on a journey through the trails and tribulations on his quest to reach the unreachable star.

The show brings musical memories and sincere moments with all the music that has influenced him over his years in the business. From Hair, Miss Saigon, Man Of La Mancha to pop artisits Barry Manilow, Stevie Wonder, Sammy Davis Jr and Michael Buble, Audiences and Critics agree that this, Dubbin's latest endeavour is sure to please!

In his professional endeavours Dubbin has relied on his principle to "follow your gut instinct - it's never wrong". This approach seems to have lead him to not only embrace opportunity, but to pursue it with passion, and Live the dream.

"Dennis Dubbin is gifted with a clear bell-like tenor voice that captures the imagination and pleases the ear, as evident on his CD "Blue-off the floor". Great production! It's always a pleasure to perform with this artist.
